BBC Called Oyedepo’s Winners Chapel a “Witchcraft Church”

Winners Chapel International plans to establish an independent school in Kent, United Kingdom.According to report, BBC described Winners’ Chapel as ‘the Nigerian church accused of linking poor discipline to witchcraft’, adding a YouTube video of Bishop Oyedepo slapping a woman and accusing her of being a witch.
The popular news site says Bishop Oyedepo who already has several universities, wishes to open a school at its Dartford site despite currently being under investigation by the UK Charity Commission.
But the plan is being blocked by human rights campaigners and the National Secular Society who are urging the government to turn down the school bid, claiming the church links child “disobedience” to witchcraft – citing the David Oyedepo Ministries website, which states “disobedience is as terrible as witchcraft”.

What it took me to compose Durosoke – Olamide

Award winning   cross overrapper, Olamide has revealed that it took him overnight to write the verses of his hit song, Durosoke. In his words: “I have always had Durosoke since when I recorded the YBNL album. The song didn’t just make the album. It took me overnight close to four or five hours to write the song.”
He also added that if he desires to listen to English rap, Jayz will be his choice.
“If I want to listen to English rap I will rather buy a Jayz CD because no matter how good you are at speaking English you can never sound like an American. I still believe in indigenous hip- hop and I think it’s the future of Nigerian music.”

The mistake I made about Fela —Weird MC

Weird MC, born Adesola Adesimbo Idowu, is one female rapper in Nigeria who dazzles on stage.
She was one of the artistes who closed this year’s edition of the annual musical concert, tagged “Felabration” which held penultimate Sunday at the New African Shrine. Showtime Celebrity cornered her. She shares the story of how she dumped basketball for music.
From where do you derive the strength you exhibit on stage?
Every human being has a unique gift from God. At the beginning, it was a gift I didn’t understand. My mother told me that as a little girl, I was restless, energetic and active. My father, at a point, was worried about me.
But after awhile, some of my aunties intervened and allayed his fears as they got him to understand that I would be energetic and active when I grew up.
Not knowing that later in my life, I would go into music. It’s one special thing that has really made my brand stand out.
Any time I hit the international stage or perform anywhere in Nigeria, the first thing people always talk about is the energy I display on stage. They always wonder where I derive my energy from. I thank God for the gift.
At what age did you realize you had that gift?
I started appreciating the gift when I was 14-15years. I was playing football as well as basket ball. I was also into athletics. In fact, I realized that each time, we were running on the pitch, I would run faster than my opponents.
I did hundred meters, two hundred meters, high jump and long jump. That was when I realized that the gift was something special that I should pay more attention to.
Were you doing music by the side?
Then, I wanted to be a rapper. I like rap music but I was not certain whether I would do music professionally. My main focus was actually basketball. I wanted to play basketball.
But along the line, some of my friends advised me against the choice. They criticized the way basketball players are treated in the country. They suggested, however, that I should travel to America, if I must pursue a career in basket ball. I wanted to embrace the idea as I have a British Passport. I was born in London, I could easily travel to America from London.
Again, I caught the music bug. It was the case of me choosing between music and basketball. Later, I went for music because I was more attracted to it than playing basket ball.
I love the idea of going on stage, performing to people and influencing them with my lyrics on stage. I started to enjoy it, and later, concluded I wanted to do music professionally.
What was the experience like the first time you stormed the studio to record your songs?
It was frustrating as well as limiting. I’m somebody who like space, I am very energetic. Standing in a vocal butt to do my vocal, I felt restless. But I had to put the music out for the people to consume it.
So, I did some songs like “Allen Avenue” and later went on stage. I saw how the song was massively received by my fans.
Was your debut album, Allen Avenue, appreciated beyond your imagination?
It was shocking. I got the sign that Allen Avenue was going to be a special album after I finished recording the album. I took it to the Afro beat King, Fela to listen to.
The reason I took it to him was because I sampled one of his evergreen songs, Look and Laugh as part of the music I put together for the single.
I wanted to obtain permission from him, but when he heard the song, he was impressed that I have done something different. According to him, no woman in Africa has ever used Afro beat music to do rap, such that it sounded so marketable.
He gave me his blessing and said that he was in support of my career in music. But the mistake I made was that we had shot the music video before I went to see him.
I wished that we hadn’t done that otherwise, I would have begged him to feature in the video. That was the beginning of a journey for me to know that Allen Avenue was going to be a special single. The single was a bang.
They said that before I came out with Allen Avenu

Reasons why LINDA IKEJI was deleted by google

Points to note: Linda Ikeji is said to generate an income from her blog of about  $900,000(N140m) annually. These monies are from advertisements and sponsored posts.

AML TIP: LINDA IKEJI’S mistake?
1. Not incorporating as a business to shield herself from personal liability. If she is sued now, her cars, houses, and other personal assets will be hit. Incorporating protects your business assets. Folks be sure to review my article on Nigerian Company Law to learn how to incorporate your business in Nigeria. Also watch my video below on the Sahara TV show to learn more about what I speak of.

2. Not having her own self hosted platform. If her violations are where Google believes there is no redemption, since it is claimed there are several authors with infringing works on her platform , then her blog could be deleted by Google, just like that.

Black Stars captain Gyan Denis Using Friend as part of a ritual sacrifice

The Black Stars captain says claims he killed his friend and fellow Ghanaian Castro (born Theophilus Tagoe) as part of a ritual sacrifice are “wild and absurd.”

Castro, whose hits include “Jealousy” and “African Girls” (the latter was performed with Gyan), went missing in July along with friend Janet Bandu.

They disappeared while using jet skis on holiday with the Al-Ain striker’s family in the Ghanaian coastal town of Ada.

Allegations in Ghana’s media suggested the disappearance was suspicious.

Castro and Bandu were last seen heading towards the ocean on a jet ski and were presumed drowned.

No bodies were recovered and rumours continued to circulate this month when Gyan’s brother, Baffour Gyan, was alleged to have been part of a gang which attacked a journalist who had asked the player about the rumours. The assault charges on Baffour have since been dropped.

A dentist turned songwriter and singer, Sidney hails from Delta State but grew up in Lagos. His legendary hits include Pour Something and recently Surulere under Mavins Records. He also featured in the reigning hit Dorobucci, a hit number done by his friend and boss, Don Jazzy.
He just recently got married to his girlfriend and long time fiancée Simi Osomo. In this exclusive interview with Potpourri, he talks about his career, music and more:
What have you been up to?
I just got married so I’ve been up to that lately but musically, we’re working on promoting some more singles off the Seduction album. We’re going to be pushing out a few videos in a couple of weeks, for a few songs
You’ve done ‘Baby Tornado’ video, is there going to be another video?
The album has 20 tracks; 18 songs and 2 bonus tracks and we’ve promoted a few songs. Last year, we started with singles before the album came out. Some of the singles were Lady Don Dada, Love Mine and Talented. We also had Baby Tornado and then we had Baby Tornado remix which we just dropped a video for this year. We promoted Surulere and Kilon wa too with videos as well. And then Baby Tornado came out. We have a few more songs like Oyari which features Tiwa Savage, Chop Ogbono and a song called Nwayi Oma which features Emma Nyra
Which video are you shooting next?
I’ve shot a few videos; I’ve shot over four unreleased videos. We’re just waiting to decide when the best time to release them is.
How has your career been so far?
It’s fantastic. Every career has ups and downs and right now, we’re on an upward movement, and we’re very excited about that
Have you done the Seduction tour?
I did the Seduction UK tour in February and we toured a few cities in Nigeria; Benin, Abuja and some other places, but we’re going back on a tour by the end of the year. It’s going to be busy and hectic so there’s not too much time to schedule, we’re booked almost every weekend.

Dr. Sid
Is it in Lagos or abroad?
We planned a Euro tour but we had to move it to next year because there’s so much going on in Nigeria at the moment. We got too many bookings to be gone for a long period of time so we pushed the European tour to next year. This year we have two Mavin concerts coming up in Nigeria; one in October and then on December 24th, Christmas Eve in Lagos
Who is your biggest inspiration in music?
I don’t have inspirations; I only have people I respect. I respect what they’ve done with their music and what they‘ve done with their brands. I respect Jay Z, P Diddy, Beyonce and R Kelly. I respect different people for different reasons because there are aspects of their careers and lives that I admire.
The Baby Tornado video, where did you shoot it?
Baby Tornado video was shot in London with the X factor winner Alexandra Burke. It was a very beautiful production, I totally enjoyed it
How did you guys meet?
She’s a very close friend to my wife but apparently, she has been trying to do music with me for a long time and she just happened to ask my wife. Introductions were made and music was created.
It could not have been easy getting Funke Akindele, Helen Paul to be in your Surulere video?
They’re all personal friends of mine. These are people I’ve known for a long time and when I asked them to be part of the video, they were all excited and they all made that video absolutely fantastic. As a matter of fact, I think I need to tweet at them today and just tell them ‘Thank you’ for all the nominations we’re getting
How did you feel getting the MTN ambassadorship?
It’s a beautiful thing for a brand like MTN to recognize that a brand like Dr Sid is strong enough to represent their brand. Obviously, you know that Dr Sid has something to offer and bring something to the table, so I feel very honoured and excited about the possibilities
What is the idea behind Mavin Records?
Mavin Records is a lifestyle brand, it’s a total package.  It’s love, responsibility, passion, it’s everything.   When you say a l
